Farina Brown is the Chief Clinical Officer at Akeela Inc., the largest addictions treatment provider in the state of Alaska. Farina’s educational background includes a MS in Clinical Counseling and a graduate certificate in Integrated Community Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services for Adults from Southern New Hampshire University. Farina also holds a B.S. in Psychology from Angelo State University in Texas.
Farina has spent more than ten years working in the nonprofit community in Florida, Virginia and Alaska. Farina has work experience in program administration, community mental health, addictions and senior services. Brining that experience and expertise to the Web, Farina served as the Program Manager and eventually the Executive Director. During her tenure at the Web, Farina helped to reaffirm longstanding community partnerships, as well as establish new partner relationships which benefit the consumers and community at large.
Following her departure from the Web, Farina maintained her belief in the mission and vision of the organization by joining the board of directors.
